Most blogs come with an editor that can be used in a web page, but this is not always the most convenient way to edit text. Bleezer is a program for writing blog posts that can be saved on the computer.
Bleezer is based on Java but this is a version written specifically for Windows. There are also versions for Mac and Linux.
Installation is simple but you will need to know some information about the blog. Username and password are obvious but it also requires the location of some files on the blog, for example the xmlrpc.php file on Wordpress blogs.
It can work with tags from websites like Technorati and Delicious and can be told to automatically ping blog tracking sites to let them know about the new posts.
There is a spellchecker built in to Bleezer. It is not real time and must be started by clicking on a button. It also reported that a was a misspelling, which was a little odd.
This is a good blogging program, especially if you use more than one operating system. Windows users will probably find Microsoft Live Writer to be a more polished and capable blogging editor.
