Q My old PC used Windows XP Professional, which had the
Frontpage software to edit my website.
I now have a new PC with Windows Vista and it doesn’t include Frontpage.
Is there a way to access and edit my website?

A Frontpage doesn’t come with Windows – it’s a separate
program, although it may already have been installed when you bought the old
computer.
It’s not available for sale any more because it has been replaced by a new
Microsoft product called Expression Web, although that is aimed at professionals
and is quite costly.
There is a free equivalent called
Visual
Web Developer but you might find that it’s a bit advanced for your needs.
It’s quite a big download, so it’s only suitable for broadband users.
You may be able to pick up a second-hand copy of the version of Frontpage you
require from
Amazon
UK or
Ebay.
However, we’d recommend switching to another program such as
Namo
Web Editor. This program is better than Frontpage and easier to use, and you
will be able to import your old website project files into the new program.
