With a dinky toaster-like design that proved a huge hit with the ladies in the office, HP's Photosmart 375 is its latest photo printer. The £200 unit can print borderless 6 x 4in images from your PC at up to 4,800dpi, or directly from six types of memory card at 1,200dpi.
Setting up is incredibly simple, while a built-in 2.5in LCD and large buttons make things easy to use. You get a number of layout and imaging-editing options built in and there's the option of Bluetooth connectivity with a supplied adapter.
Initial images suffered from banding, but cleaning and realigning the cartridge gave clear, colourful results. Feed marks were visible when using paper other than HP's Photo Premium Plus. The cost per page is high at around 50p, so look out for cartridge/paper bundles to reduce it.
The Photosmart 375 is a neat gadget but just a little too expensive. At £150, in a variety of colours, it would be an instant hit.
