Overall: An interesting design that cools many of the other motherboard components, but you'll need a big case

The penchant for huge CPU coolers shows no sign of diminishing.

Coolermaster 's latest model is so big it’s marketed not only as a CPU cooler but a combined CPU and motherboard cooler.

To give an idea of just how big the Gemini-II is it supports two 120mm fans (not included), towering above whichever CPU you attach it to (it supports AMD sockets 754 939, AM2 and Intel’s LGA775).

The resulting airflow also manages to cool the motherboard memory slots and graphic card slots as well. You can use the Gemini-II passively, but we'd recommend going down the fan route.

The fans sit on top of the huge aluminium heatsink (179x134x81mm wxdxh), which connects to the copper base via six copper heat pipes.

The heatsink can be fixed horizontally or vertically across the motherboard, but either way you going to need a pretty big case to fit this beast into.

It comes with all the fixtures and fittings you’ll need, plus a handy little fold-out user manual.
