Yet another huge power supply to join a steadily growing number of PSUs around the 1,000W mark.
However, Coolermaster’s Real Power Pro is the world’s first six-12v rail model and complies with the latest Intel ATX 12v v2.2 and SSI (Server System Infrastructure) EPS 12v v2.91 specifications.
It’s quite a compact design, certainly not as big as some of the 1,000W supplies around at the moment, and is cooled by a single 135mm fan that has a quoted noise level of just 16dBA.
Another feature you’ll notice about the Real Power Pro is that it isn’t a modular design, so you can't unplug cables you don't need. However, if you're buying a 1,000W PSU there’s a good chance you’ll need the vast majority of the connectors anyway, so it's no real problem.
The soon-to-be-released RS-A00-ESBA is the modular version of this supply.
It’s also the first PSU we have seen to feature two types of PCI-Express connectors as standard; there are four of the usual six-pin connectors and two of the latest eight-pin.
In addition you get four- and six-pin 12v CPU, eight serial ATA and six four-pin Molex connectors.
