Quick Notes Plus looks different from all of the sticky notes programs we have seen - and works differently, too.
Unfortunately, this makes it less intuitive to use, although it does have some interesting features that may just give it the edge for some people.
It includes a feature called Quick Text, which lets you store common words and phrases; these can then simply be selected for use in a note rather than typed.
Unlike most programs that store groups of notes as lists, Quick Notes Plus organises them as an electronic pinboard, meaning that all notes are visible simultaneously.
Other features are more standard, including searching, export/import functions and appearance alterations.
New in version 5 is the ability to 'stick' notes to particular applications: launch an application and any sticky notes associated with it will also be opened.
Also, the ability to send notes over a network has been improved, with it now possible to send a single note to a group with one click.
