You may have come across a PDF that you would like to extract some text from. Alternatively, you may have created a PDF yourself and no longer have access to the original document. Either way, Acrobat makes it hard to extract the text from a document.
PDF to Word will do the job for you, keeping paragraph information intact as well as placing images in the converted document and all with an easy-to-use interface. You don't even need to have Acrobat or Adobe Reader installed for it to work.
It does have some limitations - it won't preserve any links present in the PDF, it won't convert scientific formulae and it has no OCR capabilities. Also, this demo replaces random characters with asterix, so you will need to purchase the full version to use it properly.
If you find yourself needing to extract a lot of text from PDF files, however, download the demo and give it a go.
