Ac Browser Plus differs slightly from other file managers we've seen, in that it emulates the tabbed window interface popular in web browsers. This allows you to open multiple windows without the resulting clutter in your taskbar.
Each window has a dual-pane interface, with a tree structure on the left for browsing folders and a second pane displaying the contents.
Files can be viewed within Ac Browser, thanks to its built-in Quick View tools, allowing you to choose between images, text and binary viewers. Additionally, it is possible to add a comment to any file/folder for future reference.
Another handy feature is the ability to select any number of files from separate locations, and create a 'list' which acts like a folder. It's a great tool that saves time locating files in different folders.
Zip functionality is included; files can be split, merged or destroyed; folder sizes can be displayed pictorially; and folders can be indexed for instantaneous searches. The program even includes a basic CD player.
