PC World has launched five new PCs designed for the digital home.
The computers in the Advent T9000 series come with a dual-format DVD writer and 200GB-400GB of hard drive space.
All but the lowest-priced model also have TV tuner cards with remote control and 802.11g wireless access, Windows XP Home Edition and Works 7 bundled in.
PC World category manager Stuart Ramage said in a statement: "Advent customers are demanding powerful, versatile entertainment systems which are not only fast and efficient but affordable and designed for modern living."
Prices (inc VAT) range from £799 for the base-level model to £1,599 for the top-of-the-range P4 3.6GHz model, with 1GB of Ram and a 400GB hard drive. All are sold with TFT screens ranging from 15in to 19in.
